How to buy a car?

Offer means market price

All cars on the idealauto.ee website are sold at an auction or at a fixed price, and you can clearly see how many people are participating in the offer and what they are offering. Buyers are assured that using our environment will never cost you more than € 50 if someone else agrees to pay for the car. You must register as a user to make offers.

Each auction has a date and time for the auction to end. The time can be found in the car’s auction page. If the last bid was made just before the end of the auction, the auction will be extended for another 4 minutes. The auction will end only when there are no new bids made during those 4 minutes.

Participation in the bid

The offer starts from the initial price of the car, which is indicated on the car’s auction page. When adding the starting bid, you can choose to add 50 euros more than the current highest bid for the car or make a so-called maximum bid.

How do the highest bid and the maximum bid work

The maximum bid means that you indicate the maximum price you want to pay for the car and allow the bid to increase gradually and automatically by €50 at a time if another bidder decides to enter the auction. Automatic bidding never exceeds your maximum bid. If bidder 1 has made a maximum bid of 15 000 euros and bidder 2 has submitted a maximum bid of exactly the same amount, in this case, 15 000 euros, the bid will be led by bidder 1. However, both bids will appear in the car advertisement and if a new bid is made before minutes.

How does a fixed price work?

To get a chance to buy a car at a fixed price, click “book a car” and send us your contact information. We will then contact you to continue your purchase. We need to be able to contact you within the next 24 hours. There may be more car bookings and we will contact everyone.

What is a reserve price?

The reserve price is the minimum price the seller charges for the car. The reserve price rice is hidden from the bidders, but all bidders will see if the reserve price has been reached or not. If a bid is made just before the end of the auction, the auction time will be extended with each new bid so that new bids can be submitted.

What is the commission?

When buying a car through Ideal Auto, you pay a commission in addition to the agreed price for the car. The commission for each car is indicated in the car presentation/advertisement on the site idealauto.ee. The amount of the fee depends on the value of the car.

A tested car is a safe car

All cars on the idealauto.ee website have passed our thorough Ideal Auto 132-point test, where professional vehicle technicians inspect and test the car. The test results are then published in the car advertisement. We do not hide information about the condition of the car. Instead, all damages are documented with text and photos, which means that you, as the buyer, do not have to take unforeseen costs into account; you know exactly what car you are buying. Our business concept is based on the fact that the car is so clearly and objectively described that you do not have to see the car on site to get a complete picture. However, if you wish to do so, please contact our customer service center and make an appointment. In the unlikely event that the description does not match when you pick up the car you just bought, you always have the right to cancel the purchase. Please note that we cannot offer a car test drive. However, the car has already been tested by a vehicle technician. Good to know, right? When buying a car through us, the consumer purchase act applies and you have the right to file a claim if the car has hidden defects that appear after the purchase.

Drive safe

When buying a car through us, the Estonian consumer sales act applies and you have the right to claim compensation from the car if hidden errors appear after the sale. Of course, we will also help you arrange a favorable car loan, insurance and car warranty. Contact our customer service center and we will review the offers that are right for you.

Pick up your new car

If you made the highest bid at the end of the auction, you will win the bidding process and you will receive an email from Ideal Auto confirming this. Almost all cars sold through us have a so-called reserve price, which corresponds to the minimum amount the seller wants for the car. Whether or not the reserve price is reached will be shown in the car’s bid history, which will be displayed on the idealauto.ee page, as well as in the e-mail sent to you at the end of the auction. If the reserve price has not been reached, the seller must confirm the price before concluding the transaction. When the reserve price is reached, Kvdcars will contact you to book an appointment for collecting your new car. You must pick it up within three working days and the appointmnet will be made through our customer service.

Do you want to take a test drive? Of course!

When picking up the car, make sure that the description of the car is correct and that the car meets your expectations regarding the description in the car’s advertisement. During our vehicle test, our technicians will drive the car for a test drive. When you pick up the car, you have the opportunity to take a test drive – your first ride in the new car!

Secure payment

Ideal Auto acts as an intermediary for payment and the money is transferred to our account before we transfer the amount to the seller. This makes the payment process easy and secure for both you as the buyer, as well as the person selling the car.
